To date funds to run the school has been our major challenge. Our present strength is about 450 girls with around 25 teachers. We aim to provide affordable education for girls who cant afford it. Having said so, it has been noticed that when no fees is charged, there is a lot of absenteeism as the value of education provided is not appreciated.

Hence, a fee of 150 rupees for Urdu medium and 450 rupees for English medium is being charged per month from those who can pay, with orphans being exempted from fees altogether. Prevailing rates of budget schools are approximately 2500 rupees per month. All basic as well as extra curricular and co curricular activities are provided at our school.

Salaries, overheads etc are partly funded by our society’s rentals and the rest from donors, family members and well wishers.

The long term plan is to add junior and degree college in the same premises. The layout of the project is getting ready and awaiting funds. This would help us sustain and impart comprehensive education to our girls, all under one roof.

Funds for our running and capital expenses (upgrading and infrastructure) are therefore most needed.

Organization’s Theory of Change

The school that was founded in 1934 had the limited goal of giving access to the neglected girl child and giving her the education to enable her to stand her own ground. Over the years, the founding family has upgraded the content of educational facilities and also extended the boundaries of their vision to create a comprehensive education hub, right from KG to Graduation, with skill development included.

Thus the scheme of things presently includes the activities detailed in “Overview of Current Programs” and “Details of Current Education Programs”. Architectural plans are being made for the “Junior & Degree College Complex” in our existing premises. InShaAllah, when successful, girls could enter our portals as children and exit as accomplished trained adults. To address the core problem of funding, the management is gearing up to develop its other property which would eventually provide resources for achieving this goal. Our team would be approaching corporates who share our vision to partner and contribute to the building and management of these planned developments and additional infrastructure to contribute to infrastructure.
